I have included information about how many abortion deaths were noted by the Centers for Disease Control. You will note that there are many abortion deaths that have not met the public eye during this period.

By the end of the 1980s, abortion deaths had fallen to the current average of around 10 per year.^[1] Most of these are due to malpractice and are thus preventable. However, the current political atmosphere of turning a blind eye to abortion quackery makes it highly unlikely that problems that cause abortion deaths will ever be addressed.

1. ^ CDC numbers are typically low at first, since it takes time for news of abortion deaths to reach public health officials. The fact that as of 2017 the CDC is still not reporting at all on deaths after 2012 shows how great a delay can be expected.
